The Decisions We Make
There's a lot to be decided and a lot resting on the decisions made. The decisions we make whether to stay on at school, go to university, get a job, and the subjects we study or work we choose to do, are best made when we feel informed and confident about careers knowledge and career development. It can be so easy to feel lost, or you might just need help working your way through the choices you face, recognising how far your abilities and potential can take you, and planning out the path that will take you there.
Beyond school there are still a range of issues that young people face in relation to their lives and careers.

Young People who Have Chosen to Start Work Early
Young people who have chosen to start work rather than continue in education may reconsider their decisions, particularly if they are seeing their friends going to University and they may need help and support to work out the options that are available for them

Young People who Go To University
Young people who go to University may wonder if they have chosen the right course for themselves as they learn more about their chosen subjects and what they will be studying over the coming years. When they near the end of University, and beyond, they may find career options are limited and that they will have to either work in a different skills area or in a job with lower skills requirements than they have. These are compromises that can be hard to make, and if they are made they may feel that it closes the door on what they wanted their careers to be
